Our story

Skaitbridge Lab was founded in Harare in January 2026.

The directors designed it to close the gap between AI hype and practical skill in Zimbabwean workplaces. SKAIT exists to turn AI potential into real-world capability, so people can use it practically, responsibly, and profitably.

Today the lab runs certified, hands-on programmes in AI and professional skills for organisations, in person in Harare and online. Community programmes sit alongside that work, including Kids’ Social Skills and Deaf Empowerment.

SKAIT stands for Skills, Knowledge, AI and Training.

Zimbabwe’s National AI Strategy 2026–2030 aims to equip 1.5 million young Zimbabweans with digital skills, and Skaitbridge Lab trains teams for that work.

Who leads SKAIT

Skaitbridge Lab was founded in January 2026 by Kennedy Matiasi and two fellow directors, who designed it to close the gap between AI hype and practical, everyday skills at work. Together the directors bring years of experience across finance, operations, audit and investment, combined with hands-on AI proficiency: certified in modern AI tools and using them in their own work every day.
